Acciona and the Port of Barcelona open new ferry terminal

The new Barcelona Ferry Terminal -the Port of Barcelona's largest cargo and passenger facility-, which will be run as a concession by Acciona Trasmediterránea until 2029, was officially opened in Barcelona.

Spain's Acciona Trasmediterranea has spent 36 million euros on upgrading and adapting the 150,000m2 Ferry Terminal. The Barcelona Ferry Terminal also gives service to other companies, including the Italian shipping lines GNV and Grimaldi Lines and the Algerian line ENTMV. ACCIONA Trasmediterránea also has plans to add new destinations from Barcelona and is looking at developing a new cargo and passenger link between Barcelona, Tanger Med and the French port of Sete. The planned link will join the existing links between Barcelona and the Balearic Isles, the Canaries and Morocco.
